Can I get sick from eating strawberries with tiny white worms?

I ate like 3 strawberries & then I noticed some tiny white worms on my fingers. I looked through the rest of the strawberries & found a few more. They are maggot like, but way smaller than maggots. I don't grow strawberries, so I am not looking for a way to get rid of the worms. I just want to know if I am going to get sick from eating them. I bought them a day ago at the local Farmer's Market. I ate a few when I first got them. I didn't notice the worms at that time. They looked so fresh. They tasted really good. I ate some more tonight. 3 more to be exact. That's when I noticed the worms. I am concerned because I have heard about people dying from eating worms. Please, help. I am scared to go to sleep for fear I might not wake up. That might sound silly, but I have no idea about these things. I would sure like to hear from someone that does know about these things...
