How to deal with an aggressive tarantula?

i have a mexican redknee tarantula. she's no more than a few years old and about 3.5 in. in leg span. as you know, Redknee's are know to be the most docile breed of tarantulas. Here are my questions: 1. Is it common for Redknee's to climb gl? 2. When i first got her (about 4 months ago) she was pive for the most part. she would kick hairs at most. but now she's quick and rears up without warning. Can a tarantula go from pive to aggressive like that and is there a way to calm (tame) her? thanks for your time.
