Will your smoke detectors awaken your children in the middle of the night?

I actually seen something on the news about kids sleeping threw the fire alarms. I paniced! So one night I put my son to sleep and had my husband set off the one the farthest from his room he came running out saying fire fire! Im glad all the run throughs we have done worked!
