How plug GE Simon XT Security System into Comcast digital phone?

I asked the company I bought it with and they said to just plug the Simon XT into the wall, but my wall has phone plugs, and the Simon XT has a 8-pin wire that plugs into it, so I cant simply plug the Simon XT directly into the wall. My wall has Cat-5 cable running through it and they all come up to this Levitron switch that the builder installed for phones to work on. The other end (the wall plate) is a regular phone jack, although it uses Cat-5.
